SONY'S NEW ClearVid (Clear + Vivid) CMOS sensor

Yup, Sony's playing copycat.
Early reports indicate that consumers can expect to see the ClearVid sensor debut when implemented into the DCR-DVD505 camcorder.
Essentially, the design is very much like - if not identical to Fujifilm's Super CCD. For more on this interesting announcment, BREAK ON THROUGH TO DPREVIEW
