LOS ANGELES - December 2nd, 2005 - The idea of a purely digital film festival is one that is created from the very rib of independent film making itself. Thinking has not a slice of danger. The digital evolution gets another cell split with the announcement of the all new Hollywood DV & HD Festival. Scheduled for 5 days in December, the Hollywood DV & HD Film Festival is underway and currently accepting submissions. Focusing on creative works shot in only Digital, High Definition & Video formats, the HDVF is a full featured 5-day film festival recognizing the best Narratives, Comedies, Documentaries, Music Videos, Experimentals & Animations in friendly competition.

We also believe that independent films have lost their original intent due to multi-million dollar backing from production companies, despite being classified as independent.
