Re: New Atomos "Flame" recorders
Nice specs and nice pricing. interested to know more details about this statement: "There is also Raw to ProRes/DNxHR recording for select Sony and Canon cameras."

Re: New Atomos "Flame" recorders
The Shogun does this today. From an FS700R, you can send raw, 12bit sensor data out of it's BNC port and the Shogun will take that in, drop the extra 2 bits, deBayer it and convert it to true 10bit ProRes.
So, yeah, this is something Atomos has been doing for a while in the Shogun. CT P.S. I just got a Sony FS5. Sony has announced that raw sensor data output is coming for that too. I just hope Sony doesn't change the FS700 protocol for the FS5! |
