Panasonic AJ-PX380 camera
Based on the description, it looks to be the AVC/Ultra replacement for the HPX370. No pics, but it's a 3- 1/3" CMOS shoulder cam. It looks like it's optimized for news gathering.

New chips? Or the same ones in the 370? (Which aren't they pretty much the same ones in the 300?)

No, the 300 had WAY worser chips in terms of noise at even low gain and had horrendous rolling shutter. (WORSER than most DSLRs)
