Re: Odyssey7 & Odyssey7Q Firmware v3.10.100 Released
Dear Chris,
Thank you very much for posting this information. This is a very important day for us, and I believe for our customers. Now, one can, with the Sony FS700, an Odyssey7Q + our FS700 Raw Option, record 4K to Apple ProRes 422 HQ, up to 30 frames per second. And other cameras are supported as well. The 4K Apple ProRes Files are very good, very easy to use, and very robust, as the image can be graded heavily in post. The real beauty of being able to record in 4K Apple ProRes 422 HQ is that it is a known, easy workflow, and the files sizes are greatly reduced, making recording 4K much more accessible and practical to many. Also, this adds great functionality to the Sony F55 camera, for those that want to record in 4K ProRes. In December, when the F5 Firmware Upgrade is released (for $998), then the Odyssey7Q will be able to record 4K from the F5 as well as the F55. Recording from the F5 and F55, in 4K Apple ProRes 422 HQ, is a standard feature of the Odyssey7Q, no extra cost option is required. The current retail price for a limited time for the Odyssey7Q, in the United States, is $1,795, a $500 savings over our regular $2,295 price. Respectfully,
