Hey guys

Wanted to invite you all to join our 25 year celebration. AbelCine has grown up in the ever-evolving production industry, and this October will mark 25 years of supporting imagemakers with the tools of their craft. Join us in LA on Saturday, October 18 from 10am-5pm to celebrate this milestone with a special day filled with learning, prizes, and fun.

Throughout the day, special guests and industry professionals will discuss their experiences working in the field with a range of production technologies. AbelCine specialists and manufacturer experts will be on hand to answer questions. Sony will be showing the FS7, Panasonic has the Varicam, we'll have a Canon Documentary panel, and much more. Phantom Photo Booth

Have you ever wondered what you would look like in 4K slow motion? Guests can take their pick of fun props and strike their best poses, all while being filmed with the Phantom Flex4K. The footage will then be played back immediately on one of our 4K monitors – the best clip might even win a prize!

A celebration isn’t a celebration without food and drink, so we’ll be serving lunch from 11am – 3pm along with a selection of beverages (to toast with, of course!)

Outdoors, Tent Since the founding of AbelCine in 1989, advancements in imaging technology have led to a vastly different landscape of choice for filmmakers in 2014. Additionally, during this time, the distribution opportunities for filmed content have expanded exponentially. This seminar will take a technology snapshot of then (1989) and now (2014) and ask a distinguished panel, representing filmmakers of various generations, how this quarter century of change has affected their art, craft and business. The panel will also speculate on where technology will drive the profession during the next 25 years.

He will describe his process and and what it was like to use the cameras on this feature, including how he put the a7S’s low-light capabilities to the test.

Outdoors, Tent Over the last year, we’ve seen a wave of new stabilization devices and UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) that enable filmmakers to capture footage in unique new ways. Join industry professionals who have used these tools in the field for a discussion their advantages and the implications of these new ways to move the camera.
