New Super 8 film camera

For those people wanting to shoot Super 8 a prototype camera has been revealed. Currently there are only 30 year old cameras available.

Sensational: a new Super 8 camera from Denmark | filmkorn

They are hoping for production cameras to be available in April 2014.

Re: New Super 8 film camera

I love seeing projects like this and am secretly jealous they are beyond my technical abilities.

The real missing puzzle piece to keeping super8 alive (or any film) is simple/fast developing/telecine.

Great article. I hope this product really takes off for these guys. On the front regarding processing of the stock, Pro8mm in Burbank does a great job. Even giving the shooter several different ways to have the film delivered. However, on a global level I wonder about companies that still provide this service?

Great post Gary. I love the concept of that and wonder why no one has done it for Super16... other than the cost of course. :)

Good point Dylan and it would be great if they could build it into a standard arri SR or Aaton super 16 magazine.

The Super 16 digital mag has been done, but it never took off.

Before that Joe Dunton made one for the Arri 16SR MK1.
