Re: Nikon Cinema ..
One minute a "Celebration of HDSLR," next minute a competition between a new cam and the C100.
You never know, this could be a sign of a Nikon C100 competitor... |

Re: Nikon Cinema ..
I watched "Joy Ride"
just reminds me what I hate so much about DSLR "films" The story is packed with cliches & shallow DOF is overused to the point of distraction. (The shot at 1:21 never achieves focus!) Another great example if you want to do anything "action" related with shallow DOF, you need a master follow focus operator to keep the subject in focus. (I hated all the shots that lost focus in the Movi video too.) You fail at shallow DOF when your subject is one of the things that goes out of focus. Unless you're doing a rack focus, your subject should be in focus 100% of the time. Not 90%, not 80% not 50% of the time, 100% of the time. --- OK, rant over. I'm glad that Nikon is bringing some heat to the DSLR game. I hope they keep putting pressure on Canon. If this keeps happening, then us consumers keep winning.

Re: Nikon Cinema ..
These videos are a year old already. They were first touting them when the D800 came out.
