RAW Formats, Shooting, Workflow & Post with Geoff Boyle – Los Angeles

From acquisition to on-set media management to post processes, this two-day workshop is for anyone interested in RAW workflows. The class will give participants a basic understanding of RAW formats, the difference between Looks and LUTs, as well as an overview of rushes and approaches to shooting and finishing in post. Participants will shoot their own sequences in class and learn to generate looks and grade the footage.

Know Your Gamma with Alister Chapman

This single-day workshop for camera operators, DPs and DITs aims to demystify the camera that feature we’ve all come to love and hate – gamma. Learn what gamma is, why it’s important, and how different types of gamma can affect the images you capture. Understand how to select the right gamma and then how to expose it correctly. Discuss whether to create a look in camera or in post-production. This workshop combines both theory and practice throughout.

In this daylong seminar, you will learn the set up, operation and workflow of the Blackmagic Cinema Camera. At the end of the class, you will know how to get the best out of your camera and workflow.
