new blackmagic camera
To open the discussion: is 16mm good enough
http://www.blackmagic-design.com/pro...ccinemacamera/ 3000 dollars EFmount and 13 stops RAW recording onboard. And that's only the beginning. With the discovery from the Majorana particles, hopefully it can be built in the Iphone some day in my life... :-) |

Re: new blackmagic camera
I love the look of the thing, and the feature set surely has everybody who felt jilted by Red's November announcement drooling again--myself included.
I do, however, wish Blackmagic would fire whatever idiot keeps insisting on built-in, non-removable batteries for their products. I mean, really! Non-removable batteries (i.e., time-bombs) are for cheapo consumer gadgets, not $3000 cameras. I don't want to buy this thing knowing I'm going to have to send it in for surgery just to replace the battery, or else have to sell it with the caveat that it only works when plugged in. Dumb, dumb, dumb. Fix it! Otherwise, what's not to like? :)

Re: new blackmagic camera
The BMC sensor is bigger than 16mm. It's slighty smaller than an M43 sensor.
