Re: Release Lightworks Version 12.5 Available
The release Lightworks V 12.5 is now available for download.. http://www.lwks.com/index.php?option...emid=81#101112
Of interest are packages involving Boris FX and/or Graffiti comimg free with an outright purchase or a one year subscription of Lightworks purchased AT THE FULL PRICE. Details are here: Boris FX Note that owing to licensing restrictions they are unable to offer Boris packages to existing Lightworks Pro users. http://www.redsharknews.com/post/ite...is-fx-and-more In the Lightworks Pro version's effects browser there's the option to use Fusion 7 as a plug in. New V 12.5 features are listed here, key being 4k being available over a greater range of codecs: New in v12.5 Lightworks still comes in two versions, the Free and Pro Versions. The former might suit indie feature film makers on extremely low budgets, because you can take out a one month license for the export of your completed film.. Release Lightworks Version 12.5 Available
One of the V12.5 improvements takes an old Lightworks feature (racks and bins), which was going to to be removed in an earlier version's beta and replaced by smart bins (retained because of feedback from users during that beta), puts these two options together into an increasingly integrated system of filing that can be used by the editor according to their needs..
https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=2&v=FB1rDGcElTw There are also new keyboard shortcuts and LUT options Last edited by Brian Drysdale; October 1st, 2015 at 05:26 AM. |

Re: Lightworks release date
Lightworks have announced a branded version of the Contour Shuttle Pro https://twitter.com/ESLightworks/sta...719234/photo/1
I did some testing with one on Lightworks and it's pretty effective at creating an analogue audio scrub (EDIT and you have audio with the shuttle). It's a lower cost option to the Lightworks console, although with fewer buttons. Lightworks: The professional editor for everyone Last edited by Brian Drysdale; November 29th, 2015 at 03:22 AM. |

Re: Lightworks release date
The last couple of weeks I've been trying Lightworks out. So far, it (free version 12.5) seems really good. I've been working through the online tutorials. The interface is very intuitive. The program is responsive and fast both on my Windows 7 Pro desktop (Avid MC) editing PC, and my Windows 10 laptop. Plus, it seems to share almost all my favorite keyboard commands with Media Composer. Good chance I'll become a paying user!
