The invasion of the uncompressed field recorders
Cinemartin SFV & SFVe Uncompressed & open codec mpeg2 and cineform capable, 4:4:4 and 4:2:2 10bit up to 60p video recorders
New kid on the blog cheaper than Gemini, but still much more expensive than BM Shuttle The entry model has only HDMI and some recording limitations. The high end model can do: 444 or 422, 8bit or 10bit uncompressed up to 1080 60p MPEG2 I frame up to 300 Mbps included Pending that you can use alternative codecs DNxHD, Cineform, ProRes (not very clear what exactly can do). You can even choose between SSD and HardDisc. (2,5 inch form factor) Use Vmount batteries. 7inc monitor (720 by default 800X640 native). Has fan, but claims is noiseless. Full fledged PC. By attaching a keyboard/mouse, you can edit right on the device!!! |

Photos of Cinemartin SFVe pre-production model.
Records Uncompressed or MPEG2 300mbps, can record to Cineform among others codecs. Does not record directly to prores, but transcode files to .mov apple quicktime compatible files. |
