Announcing the 10th Annual FCPUG San Francisco SuperMeet

The Agenda is coming along for the Tenth Annual San Francisco SuperMeet to be held once again at the Mission Bay Conference Center on Friday, January 28, 2011. And it’s shaping up to be one of the best SuperMeets in years.

Tickets are on sale now for the "EarlyBird" price of only $10.00 each plus ticket fee and only $6.00 plus ticket fee for students with valid student ID. Which means if you plan to attend, then buy your ticket soon or you pay $15.00 after December 28, 2010 and $20.00 at the door. Hey, that’s enough money to buy 3 extra raffle tickets.

This event is expected to be the single largest Bay Area social gathering of digital filmmakers, content creators, FCS, Avid and Adobe Gurus and users in all of 2011.

In addition to a great show we will once again have a vendor area with over 25 software and hardware developers showing off their products and solutions. Plus the usual food and drink, networking opportunities and general mayhem.

SuperMeet Educational Workshops
Also, for the second time ever we will include SuperMeet Educational Workshops as part of the SuperMeet experience. Adobe has signed up for one*of the rooms and we are talking to others. Workshops during the day, and SuperMeet at night. Great way to spend a Friday in San Francisco. More on the Workshops in about 2 weeks.

Open Screen Theatre
You will be able to showcase your projects in what we are calling the "Open Screen Theater." Filmmakers wanting to get seen will have a a 10 minute chance to do so in an informal, collaborative setting in the Fisher Banquet Hall. We want those who are shooting with HDSLRS, camcorders, iphones and anything that makes video to screen your content and interact. Just show up and sign up, get up and show off.

So, what’s on the agenda?
We are excited to announce that Alex Lindsay of Pixel Corps and dvgarage will be joining us on stage. What is Alex going to show? Hah! Wait till next week, then we*will tell you. But we can tell you this; it’s going to be a must see.

We are also pleased to tell you that we will have two giants of the FCP world on stage at the same time; Ripple Training’s Steve Martin and FCS Guru and trainer of the FCP Trainers, Abba Shapiro. It’s been years since they have both appeared on stage with each other and you just don’t get two more knowledgeable FCP Gurus than Abba and Steve. Bring a note pad because these two will give you tips and tricks not even the software designers know.

Plus we will have very special demos from Autodesk and AJA as well as Show and Tells from local Bay Area filmmakers. And yes, the World famous Raffle where we will give away once again, thousands of dollars worth of prizes to dozens of lucky winners. Oh, and MORE. Yes, MORE!

This is the premiere event in the Bay Area for digital filmmakers for all of 2011 so don’t miss it.

Go to the SuperMeet web site for daily updates, directions to the MBCC, updates on the educational workshops and the ever growing list of raffle prizes and generous sponsors.

Attend a SuperMeet and see what is possible.
