16DigitalSR Mag from P+S Technick turns SR16 into Digital Camera

With that you can use your Arri SR cameras as digital 2/3inch cameras.

A few thoughts:

The imager is Cmos but since SR has an optical mirror viewfinder you don't get the rolling shutter problem, because the revolving mirror essentially works as a global shutter blocking the light in between frames.

Has Cineform compression (Raw and 422) which is very efficient but not very popular as a workflow. Just wish it had uncompressed HD recording on board as well, so you can choose your workflow afterwards.

SSD as recording medium which IMO is the best solution at the moment.

Can anybody at NAB visit their booth at Cenrtral hall C5348 and check their price? There is truckload of very cheap SR at the moment in my country.

Also ask if the mag support uncompressed out?

I wish i'd known about this earlier - I was at NAB Monday and would have checked it out. I know Aaton has a similar rig for their 35mm cameras.
I wonder if the mag can attach to the older reg. 16mm Arri cameras?
