Star Wars already online p2p
Ouch!
They'll catch them....I bet this release of Star Wars has some new type of special stamping on the prints so they know where they came from. http://dailynews.yahoo.com/s/nm/2005...NlYwMlJVRPUCUl I'd never download a movie just because I know what it takes to make one. I feel bad for the filmmakers...and who wants to see Star Wars at home and not the theater anyway?!!

Two versions apparrently out. One, an insider's screener with timecode on it, and the other a screencapture from a theatre.
More than 16 thousand downloads. Call it eight dollars a ticket... a potential loss of over 128 thousand dollars... but really, you're going to show it to your buddy... so easily double that. Yeah, it's theft. |

Bet almost every single one of those fanboys downloading Sith goes to see it in a theatre anyway. More than once.

I bet 15,000 of those 16,000 are overseas...not US. The 1,000 in the US are under 30 because they don't care about Star Wars....experienceing it in the theater.
If Lucas handed me a copy of Star Wars (Sith) on DVD himself I wouldn't watch it....it has to be in a theater the first time.

I agree... certain movies have to be first experience on the big screen.
Although I thought Episode I & II were rubbish, I hope he brings the saga back on track with this one. Besides it has Vader in it and all.

I've stayed away from almost everything in the media about this one. But, apparently it's better than the last two he did...and this one does have Vader like you said. I just hope it's not wooden and lacking...I don't expect it to be as good as the trilogy, but at least not suck like Phantom did. If it starts to turn into a silly video game I'll close my eyes!

Since Sith is in theaters now, maybe time to rekindle the discussion about it in this Awake in the Dark forum thread...
