Hi Steve,
We already have a thread going about this... see http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthrea...&threadid=6223 In order to keep the discussion centralized in one location, I'm closing this thread and asking that all replies go to the link above. Thanks, |

i got it and i've been pretty happy with it. i found that i got the best results by bouncing my soundsoap settings and then passing the audio through SuperFreq.
on caveat, is that if you get too aggressive with SoundSoap, you end up with a sterile sounding track. *some* ambient noise is necessary... ;) just my own experiences.

Hi Dan,
Yes, I know Geoff Zimmerman personally and that's why I post these notices here for him. He has worked for Penelope Spheeris in the past (she is one of my favorite filmmakers) and he has quite a track record. His camps are a good deal, and I'm happy to help promote what he does. |

Yet another Instant Films!
Our fifth installment gets underway tonight, and by Sunday night eight new films will be screened. The party afterwards is going to be great this time, we have some new sponsors for food and drink. Come see the most exciting concept in DV filmmaking (check it out at www.instantfilms.com) this Sunday in downtown LA. (if you can't make this weekend, we are doing a special Valentine's Day edition next weekend).

Thanks very much for that notice, John. It looks like John's planning to pack quite a list of topics into a single day!

List of Film Transfer Houses
The Jan/Feb 2003 issue of Res Magazine features a list of houses that specialize in transferring video to film. The compilation provides a very good summary of what each house offers, their average prices per minute for each film format and contact information.
(Note: At this writing this issue of the magazine is not yet on their Web site.)

Thanks for the link, Jinghong Chua! Too bad my browser can't read the camcorderinfo site. I'll have to look at it tomorrow, on a friend's---.

The TRV80 looks like it may be a nice 1 CCD cam. When it comes out, I'll have to have a good look at it. Thanks for the link.
