Sony in IBC No-Show
Sony have announced they will not be attending or exhibiting at IBC in Amsterdam this September. They will instead concentrate on their own road show exhibitions which they consider more effective.
So the recession starts to bite hard. |

I'm not sure this is so much a case of cost saving as a case of value for money. Sony are going to hold hundreds of events across the EMEA region with the aim of making it possible for those unable to travel to Amsterdam to see their products. IBC is expensive for Sony, but also expensive for the visitors.

Looks like they're doing the same thing as Apple and RED.
