Thanks for the heads up. Interesting. The articulating LCD certainly is welcome, even for stills. Of course, the video. Does it still suffer the D90's codec artifacts and rolling shutter? And of course manual control. My guess is the same movie mode as the D90 though.

Over at Digital Camera Reviews and News, they have a preview of the camera.
One of the things they mention is a 5 minute clip length limit in 720p24 mode. For any kind of event shooting, that would be really bad, if true. The Nikon USA product page for the camera is here: D5000 from Nikon Nikon doesn't appear to have made the Manual for this camera available yet. According to the product brochure, this camera shoots "1,280 x 720/24 fps, 640 x 424/24 fps, 320 x 216/24 fps" |
