The slowdown/recession/end of the world as we know it hasn't really hit down where I'm at but I'm seeing these stories more and more and honestly, I'm getting a bit scared. I feel for all these people who are losing their jobs and fear the trickle-down effect it might have on the rest of us.

I am not a bit surprised and expect more. With Sony in red I would expect cuts there as well.

As a resident of the state with the highest rate of unemployment, it is looking like it will get a lot worse before it gets better. There is a commercial editing facility in Metro Detroit that I have done some work for, and in their window is a sign that reads "Is Arby's Hiring Yet?" That was posted after they lost 80% of their projects due to budget cuts within Chrysler and GM. Our industry is resilient, however, and I am looking at the future through an optimistic lens (no pun intended).
