720x576 to 640x480
Hi guys,
I will be making some 720x576 clips and wanted to know the best way to then change them to 640x480 will be? how different will the picture be when its rendered at 640x480? will it be the same but just obviously smaller? i don't have the time to test this out and would like to know if anyone has done such a thing? thanks very much :) im using AE also! forgot to mention :)

There are a few ways to go about doing this, but here's a couple if you're interested...
1- Create a 640 X 480 comp in AE, import your 720X576 footage and scale it down until it fits in the frame, render, and you're done! 2- In your your rendering queue, click on the "lossless" options, and then punch in your new resolution in the panel that pops up. If you keep your proportions constrained, you might not get down to 640X480 exactly, but you can get as close as you can and render that way. Someone else might have a better/faster/mega/super way of doing this, but that's my 2 cents. Good Luck! |
