Watermarking video programs.
Does anyone have recent experience with watermarking video programs. We have some in production we wouldn't like stolen and watermarking might be a way to go. They'll be special interest progs. around 50mins each. Couldn't find much in the archives.
After some trolling around the web, these questions come up, do you WM in a corner of the screen for the entire program or just every 5-10mins. Where do you locate the thing, what size etc. Can you point to any examples? What program do you use and and the workflow. Does TV baulk at WM if they're using one. TIA. |

If it was just to put an obvious copyright notice/warning on all the footage, as I am running Final Cut Studio I might just put a batch overlay in compressor before I export to my final format, especially useful if it's something you are going to have to repeat on a regular basis. Where I put the actual watermark would be dependent on the subject video and it's intended use - it would be a practical and aesthetics choice.
