Best stabilizing plugin and best plugins to improve quality of footage (PremPro)
Hi Guys,
Do you know of the best plugins to use for Premiere Pro that stabilizes footage and also that can improve quality of footage (SD), I know the results may not be the best, but it's just to make a documentary film that was shot on a SD Handycam look a little more "professional." I saw these two plugins in regards to "restoring"/improving quality of footage - Topaz Enhance - Video Quality Enhancement Plug-in and SuperResolution plugin by Infognition for Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro but I wanted to ask if anyone had personal experience in what the better plugins are. Thanks Matt |

Re: Best stabilizing plugin and best plugins to improve quality of footage (PremPro)
Have you tried the Warp Stabiliser, which from CS6 onwards comes as a standard effect in Premiere? It has several methods of usage and I found it particularly useful on hand-held material. A little trial and error is needed to determine the best settings for a particular shot, but the degradation introduced by the re-framing process is minimal. The downside of this stabilising effect (and I suspect all stabilising software) is that you need a powerful computer to see the effect in real time (and not waste your life away waiting for rendering to finish).

one problem i encountered with Warp is that you cant adjust the speed of a clip once Warp has been applied to it.
