after effects export question
I am faily new at after effects so I need so guidence here. Everytime I export a video from after effects it really doesn't look so good in my editing program. I am using Edius 5.5.
I usually export in a ..mov format at the highest setting but still it doesn't look as good as it did in after effects. Could someone tell me the best formula to export a video and have it look sharp out of after effects? |

That symptom usually means the sequence in your editor doesn't match the settings that you exported. I am not familiar with edius but that's what happened to me in FCP when I first started using AE. Just make sure all the parameters match and it should be ok.

If your video looks good in after effects, and it looks good in quicktime when played back before going into Edius, then the project settings in your NLE needs to be checked and matched with your input. Edius might be transcoding your footage to match the default project settings.
