You can't scrub through the Timeline and hear the audio track unfortunately. I doubt this will change in the near future. However, if you make a RAM preview and turn on the audio monitoring, you can hear the audio track. How do you sync the two up? good question. Probably the easiest way is to lay down beat markers. As you play back your RAM preview, press the * key on the numeric keypad every time you want to drop a beat or a marker. When you stop the RAM playback, the markers will appear in the timeline.
Hope this helps! Cheers |

yeah i learned a similar method but i used the period(.) which plays the audio only(on the computer i was using it played 8sec worth and would loop) on the numeric pad and made my marks using the same method as Stephen then you lay down your pix to the marks then do a ram preview and you see if you timing is right.
