After Effects
Hi
Might be wrong forum but here goes. I use an RT.X100 system & Premiere 6.5, I install AE 6.5 & when I open the program it is "greyed" out, nothing happens. When I run the Matrox plug in from the tools disc, it say "A compatible version of AE cannot be found on Your system?" AE works fine on My other system with just a firewire card, I`m stumped! I have posed this question on the RT.X100 forum, but no luck so far. The only software I put on before AE was Norton Ghost, is this a clue?(clutching at straws here) Thanks in Hope Regards. Peter |

Peter,
Are you sure X.Tools 4 supports AE 6.5? I'm not sure, but I think only X.Tools 6 supports that version of AE. (Of course the problem with that is X.Tools 6 only supports Premiere Pro - and you've got Premiere 6.5). As for the greyed out menus/buttons in AE, check out these threads on the AE forum: http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/w...BN.9@.3bb67ee7 http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/w...N.11@.3bb6b3f4 Hope this helps. Hi
Update: Installed AE5, as its supposedly supported in X tools for Prem 6.5, this time the Matrox plug in, installed instead of " a compatible version of AE could not be found on Your system" AE is still completely ghosted out, task manager says it is running. Only thing that stops Me climbing the walls is the fact I`m in the loft with a pointy roof & the walls are only 4ft high!!! Tried disabling the WYSIWYG for enabling output to monitor but no joy. Regards Peter(not a happy bunny) |
