BBC 5.0 not showing up in After Effects 8.0.1
Hi all.
I just installed BCC 5.0 on a few mac )S10.5.4 computers and can not access the filters in After Effects 8.0.1. There is a BCC folder in the applications folder containing HTML docs for registration, and a BCC Presets 5.0 AE folder located in Library/Application Support/BCC Presets 5.0 AE, and another in Library, application Support/Adobe/Common/Plugins/CS3/MediaCore/BCC Presets 5.0 AE. The filters do not appear in the Effects pull down, or in the Effects Controls window. Am I missing something obvious, like I have to import the filters or map them to use them? Thanks for your help! |

I am on a Windows machine so this may not help.
For me, the plugins are all in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\Plug-ins\CS3\MediaCore\Boris Continuum Complete 5.0 And the presets are all in C:\Program Files\Boris FX, Inc\BCC Presets 5.0 AE And yes, they do all show up under /Effects (I'm using AE8.0.2). Good luck! |

I forgot to update the post--I hate when OTHER people do that!
Many thanks to Peter Mcauley and Jon K. from Boris. Peter was nice enough to contact me directly after reading about my problem on the forum. He asked their technician Jon K. to call me to troubleshoot and figure out the problem-he called within 1 hour of emailing with Peter and everything is up and running with the BCC effects. The solution was the updater that was available from the Boris website. Since I was using an installer with the same version number I didn't think that there would need the updater on the site. Turns out my discs were from Tiger and the updater made BCC play nice with Leopard and After Effects. Thanks guys! Jeff |
