Canon XLH1s <-> nNovia QCHD
I connected these items and tried to work with .m2t type of hdv.
I cannot synchronize with sync to tape control. When starting my camcorder, the tally light on my QCHD is burning, the counter on my QCHD is running but nothing is written down on my hdd. When I connect my PC and QCHD in HDD mode, nothing is seen on the hdd. What did I wrong? If you have a working combination, please send your settings to c.bakker315@chello.nl . The firmware iof QCHD is QC049D070LP655 |

Did you format/finalize your hard drive before connecting it to the computer? That is required. Even if you did not do this you should be able to play back the file back to the camera and see it when in VCR mode.

Interfacing Canon XLH! nNovia QCHD
Together with nNovia I evaluated and tested new firmware to interface the nNovia QCHD and Canon XLH1 and this combination works without tape!!!!!
The only thing you have to do is converting the nNovia video protocol to a common Pc or Windows protocol. For this purpose Cineform neoscene works great. nNovia is not intended to adjust the excisting firmware to do this job. Furthermore: If you work with hdv hardware like Canon XLH1 you can import batch al the scenes from tape, like Adobe Premiere does with dv material. This option if you hardware combination Canon XLH1 - nNovia QCHD does not work outside (jungle). If you need the firmware for this combination, please mail me at c.bakker315@chello.nl. |
