7Q power cable to D Tap for 14.4v

Is anyone using or suggest a 7Q power cable to D Tap for 14.4v?
Also... I've been using the Sony NP battery plate, but I think Dan Keaton mentioned that the Sony BP would be a much better power source.
I'd be interested in switching < even though the NP batteries are nice a cheap! >

Re: 7Q power cable to D Tap for 14.4v

Dear Brian,

The D-Tap (P-Tap) cables are readily available and widely used.

The Sony BPu60 batteries are a good choice, especially for recording modes that require more power.

The Sony BPu60 batteries can output more current than the Sony NP-F970 batteries.

We fully support the genuine Sony NP-F970 batteries, but it is advisable to replace the battery when it gets down to 7.0 volts, especially if you are recording in modes that require more current, such as High Speed, or writing to two SSD's simultaneously.

As the battery voltage dips below 7.0 volts, the current increases, and the battery starts draining very quickly.

The Odyssey supports a wide range of batteries, as the power range is 6.5 to 34 Volts DC.

P-Tap, D-Tap outputs are also typically very good power sources, as these are designed to put out high current.

Respectfully,
