4k > 2k ProRes - No output signal ?
Hi guys
Trying to setup to record some RAW4k>2k with my alphatron on the output. I get no signal in the mode. All other modes are fine in both 30 and 25 signal base. Can anyone else quickly test this and see if you have the same issue? Cheers Mat |

Same here (except I'm sending to a wireless system).
I think the HD-SDI is outputting 2K resolution which the 3rd party devices don't support... Convergent Design guys - if you're listening - is there better support for this on the cards? Kris |

Re: 4k > 2k ProRes - No output signal ?
In the current firmware, recording in true 2K (2048x1080) means that this is also the signal resolution sent to the video outputs. Since most monitors and other devices cannot read this signal, in our next firmware we are changing this so that a 1920x1080 output is sent. There will be an option in the menus to select either a center extraction or a letterboxed image so that the entire 17:9 image can be seen.
