Odyssey / FS7 RAW Resolve Workflow - Documentation & LUT's

Dear Friends,

Our team, has been working to improve the Odyssey / FS7 Raw Resolve Workflow.

This is the results of what we have created on conjunction with Mr. Nick Shaw.

Mitch Gross, has been spearheading this project and wrote this:

With every new camera design there can be some initial growing pains.

Convergent Design has been working with Antler Post's Nick Shaw to improve the workflow for Raw data files captured on the Odyssey7Q and Odyssey7Q+ from the Sony FS7.

Nick has developed some LUT's that improve color performance and also written a detailed instructional primer to processing the files in Resolve.

Please follow this link for details.

https://convergent-design.com/odysse...tml?kbartid=28

With this workflow and LUT's, the magenta issue should be eliminated.

The LUT's are for a Log image, and there is further instruction to then take the files into a REC709 gamma.

Please consider these settings to be starting points, as you may wish to adjust them to your own taste.

These settings are for the FS7 camera only. It is for use with files recorded using Odyssey firmware versions 2.10.100 - 4.10.100 (current).

Future firmware may not yield the same results, and Sony's upcoming changes in firmware in the FS7 may also alter the image.

Respectfully,

Does this pertain at all to FS700 users as well? Or is this specific to the FS7? I'm still not totally clear on the recommended workflow for FS700 RAW.

Allow me to chime in for the FS700 too. When even the top Mac store creative FCP editor can't get Resolve lite workflow tutorials to work for exporting FS700 7Q RAW footage, then something needs to get done for those of us who bought into the 7Q as early adopters.

Dear Friends,

This is specifically for the FS7, not the FS700.

The FS7 Raw data, at least right now, coming out of the camera is different than the FS700 Raw data.

Dear Dave,

We are more than happy to help you personally.

I am not an expert on Resolve, due to lack of experience in working with it.

Our team knows it better.

You may call our main number at:
