Sony A7S only at 60fps?
Curious if there is a way to record at 30fps to the Odyssey 7Q+ using the Sony A7S. I currently have the recording rate set to 30fps on the Sony, and the output is only available for either 60p or 24p. So, naturally, the Odyssey records at 60p (even though the actual video is only at 30p). Any way to force the Odyssey to record at 30p in this situation?

Re: Sony A7S only at 60fps?
If you have the A7s set for 30P output thru HDMI it is different than internal recording set up.
I normally have my Sony A7s set to output 4k and then DownRes to 1080P30 in the Odyssey. The 7Q+ gives me the option to choose the recorded frame rate etc. Try turning on the 7Q+ first then plugging the A7s into it via HDMI cable. Now turn on the A7s and see if the Odyssey recognizes it. You may have to unplug replug of start up one or both several times. If this does not work you have a bad cable or you do not have the A7s set up correctly. There is an A7s guide on the Odyssey site that you can refer to. Last edited by Roger Martin; August 3rd, 2015 at 08:56 PM. |
