SSD/Footage inaccessible / corrupted?

Hi,

Could not find any similar issues in the forum.

Been filming on a project for two days with the 7Q+ and 2 x 512 SSD.
Been shooting in UHD/4K ProRes (Sony).

Unloaded some files from the SSD from one day, no problem.
Now when I get back home I am having issues accessing and unloading the files from the second day of shooting from the SSD. Only one of the SSD has been used.

I can play the files back on the O7Q+, but neither a windows computer or Mac is able to copy the files.
The Mac wont even recognize the drive, the WinPC occasionally suggest the SSD need to be formatted to be accessed. I have 3 different SSD readers (USB 3.0) and all of them have preciously worked for offloading the files, none work now. :(

But when I get the WinPC to recognize the SSD I am unable to copy the files, Windows explorer just hangs.

I cannot play the files in windows from the SSD either

Should I hit "rebuild" on the Odyssey?

What do I do?? These are really hard to get shots, I cannot afford to loose them.

Re: SSD/Footage inaccessible / corrupted?

Dear Ole,

The Rebuild process (named Rebuild starting with firmware 4.10.100, previously it was called Recover), in the Odyssey|SSD menu, is a completely non-destructive process.

I recommend that you perform the "Rebuild".

As you may know, we provide 24/7 support. You may reach me at:

seven one nine -- nine three zero -- one three seven six.

During normal business hours, you may reach our main support line, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA, Mountain time, at

seven two zero -- two two one -- three eight six one

Respectfully,

Re: SSD/Footage inaccessible / corrupted?

Dear Dan,

thank you for your swift reply.

Rebuilding / recover done, saved all files, all good.

BTW! Getting a message that "SSD ejected without safe eject" after ejecting after rebuild.
But I a cannot hit safe eject on the screen after rebuild, so I guess the safe eject is already done within the process. So that error message is a bit misleading and scary then.

Thank you

Reg,
Ole

Re: SSD/Footage inaccessible / corrupted?

Dear Ole,

Yes, I agree.

We can correct that in our firmware.

The Rebuild/Recovery process automatically performs a safe eject, so that other message is wrong.

Respectfully,
