Re: Anyone get the 7Q+ to work with Sony A7s & GH4?
They weren't actually sure what the cable/adapter was as they were pulled out of a bunch of them and they had no brand name on them.
CD said they will be supplying an adapter/cable solution that works. That's what I'd stick with. |

Re: Anyone get the 7Q+ to work with Sony A7s & GH4?
Dear Friends,
We just announced that we will be including a quality, 4K Rated, HDMI cable with all Odyssey7Q+s that we ship to our dealers. This is a Type D (Micro, Male) to Type A (Full Size, Male) HDMI cable. All Odyssey7Q+'s already include a quality adapter, Type A (Full Size, Female) to Type C (Mini, Male) so that the above cable can be plugged into the Odyssey7Q+. This is what is needed for the Sony A7s, the Panasonic GH4 and many other HDMI cameras. Also, today, we announced that each Odyssey7Q+ will now include two free 256 GB SSD's. For many users, two 256 GB SSD's will be all that they need. This is a limited time promotion with no fixed end date. Please see our announcement on the DVInfo.net home page: DV Info Net - The Digital Video Information Network Respectfully,

Re: Anyone get the 7Q+ to work with Sony A7s & GH4?
Dear Steve,
Thank you. We love to hear "Woo Hoo!". And there are many other words and phrases I love to hear!! We feel that this is a great deal, as with these two SSD's one can record HD Apple ProRes 422 (HQ) for a long time, and even record 4K Apple ProRes 422 (HQ) for a reasonable amount of time. And since these modes only require one SSD, one can be recording on one SSD and uploading the other. Also, for the very demanding modes, such as FS700 or FS7 2K 12-Bit Raw at 240 fps or 4K 12-Bit Raw at 60 fps, these two SSD's can handle it, but only for a limited amount of time. But Recording 10 minutes of 240 fps footage is 100 minutes of on-screen time at 24 fps. Eastern Airlines used to say: "We want everyone to Fly". We want everyone to see the quality and versatility of our Odyssey7Q+! Respectfully,
