7Q Protection/Mounting Harware

The guys at Solid Camera have developed a great cage/bracket kit designed around their proven dove tail system. No tools required. Total flexibility and positioning.
You can place the Q7 face down with no worries due to the protective cage design with many attachment options. The handle option can triple as a kickstand for sitting Q7 on a flat surface, or attaching to a stand. Here are a few photos. You can buy the whole kit or use the configuration tool on their site to order just the options you need. We now feel MUCH better when handing the Q7 to the client for a peek, ( and it comes back with
less finger prints too! ) Sorry for the iPhone Pix

Re: 7Q Protection/Mounting Harware

I bought the Power Cage with Anton Bauer plate from Nebtek, and I am very happy with it.. I am powering my unit via P-tap! but I leave the Anton Bauer plate attached sine it had several 1/4-20 holes to under sling the monitor. I believe that only the Anton Bauer and V-lock plates have these holes to mount the monitor, and not the plates that accept small camcorder batteries. Maybe not as versatile as the Solid Camera cage if you need to mount Manu accessories like transmitters and such, but I believe it's third the price. Hopefully Nebtek with come out with blank cheese plate plates for their cage.

I purchased the Solid Cage for the Q7 and have used it on two projects... It really does work well. Before I got the cage my mounting system really sucked (articulating arm). Now the Q7 never moves unless I move it or reposition it.
