Re: New FW for Odyssey...
Dear Olof,
Thank you for posting this. I have been traveling all day, and just found a place with WiFi. Dear Friends, This is a very significant improvement in the capabilities of the Odyssey7Q. Please review the new features as well as the fixes we have made. These are included in Olof's post. And, of course, this new firmware is available for immediate download from our website. Respectfully,

Re: New FW for Odyssey and 4K...
Hello. Will there be a 4K prores option(not just 4K2HD) for the Odyeey 7Q and the Sony FS 700 in the near future. I was under the impression there would be. Thank you

Re: New FW for Odyssey...
Dear Bill,
We are actively working on providing a method to record 4K to a compressed codec. We feel that this will be a very popular feature. Respectfully, .

Re: New FW for Odyssey...
Dan, Mitch, Amber, everyone involved with this great Odyssey7Q project - sincerest thank you to all of you. I have been disappointed with every monitor I have owned, until yours. And that's without even considering the 7Q's recording capabilities. Utterly amazing when you think about it, what a great distance people like you have brought us in such a short amount of time.
Take a breath, throw a party, I'll send you some money for beer. Thank you, thank you. Eric Gulbransen |

Re: New FW for Odyssey...
Great news! Thanks.
A humble request for future, I found out about the fw update as I just happened to peak into this forum. Would be great if an alert email could be sent out next time since CD has owners' email addresses as part of registering our units. Also, aside from enabled mixed formats on the SSDs, can we mix frame rates as well after the update? Thanks. |

Re: New FW for Odyssey...
I got an email from CD when the firmware was released. You may need to check and make sure you are registered properly.

Re: New FW for Odyssey...
I've only had a couple of minutes to play with the update - did I notice that monitoring is available for 720 - but not in quad mode?

Re: New FW for Odyssey...
Just checked my mailboxes again and yes, indeed I did receive an email from CD, it was sent from Amber, went straight into the junk folder :) Necessary mailbox adjustments have been made. Thanks.
