7Q and Audio
I have a question about audio workflow with the 7Q. I have never used SDI connectors before. My current equipment is Canon 5Diii, which uses the awful mini plug for audio. I have a separate Beachtek preamp and that does a decent job of feeding into the 5D.
What I'd like to do is feed HDMI into the 7Q, but also feed a high quality audio signal to the 7Q. Would I use something like an analog audio to SDI converter box like this?: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/558906-REG/Blackmagic_Design_CONVMAAS_Mini_Converter_Analog_to.html I want to avoid having a separate audio recorder from the video recorder. I know that the highest quality audio is achieved that way, but it's really such a PITA for my kind of work. Any thoughts of best way to get high quality audio and video recording from the 7Q? |

Re: 7Q and Audio
Dear Thad,
I have sent you a private email with my phone number so I can personally help you select gear to use with our Odyssey7Q and your Canon 5D Mark III. Respectfully,
