O7Q remote options?
Probably one for Dan:
What are the current planned remote options for the O7Q and where do they sit on the firmware update roadmap? I believe there was an iOS/Android app talked about for remote control along with possibly other hard wired remote options? Does the O7Q have Bluetooth and IR receive? Oh, and there isn't a tally LED under the rear top IR window (I'm guessing that's what that is) is there? Ta, Paul. |

Re: O7Q remote options?
Dear Paul,
We plan on supporting wired remote control as soon as possible. This also includes a wired tally light. Later, we expect to add support for wireless (Bluetooth) remote control. There is a tally light built into the Odyssey7Q, on the back, (top center) which will be enabled later. This is under the semi-transparent Bluetooth wireless window. Support for iPhone/iPad and Android devices is planned. But, due to the time to program, in the Odyssey7Q, all of the infrastructure required to remotely control all (or most all) of the Odyssey7Q's functions, this Bluetooth support will be added later, after we finish some other features. The Odyssey7Q has Bluetooth, but not an IR receiver. Respectfully,

Re: O7Q remote options?
Thanks Dan,
That sounds great. Yes understand re timescales - I'd much prefer to see many of the upcoming features first (obviously prores) such as DNxHD and 4k compressed etc. |
