NanoFlash Slow Motion Settings For Sony EX3
I can set my EX3 for slow motion, per the manual, at 720/50p (PAL). How do I set my nanoFlash to record this?
It's currently set to 1080/25p. Presumably I'll need to change this. Ron |

Re: NanoFlash Slow Motion Settings For Sony EX3
Dear Ron,
The nanoFlash automatically adjusts to the incoming video stream. Thus, if you set you camera to 720p50, 720p59.94 or 720p60, then the nanoFlash will automatically record that format, and display this value on the Frame Rate Display (the highlighted line near the bottom of the screen). Respectfully

I tried that Dan and as you said the nanoFlash recorded at 720p50, thus no slow motion. Presumably I need to do something with the nanoFlash settings as well.

Re: NanoFlash Slow Motion Settings For Sony EX3
Hi Ronald,
I have used my nanoFlash for over cranking and made the following notes, they may be of interest. I can't actually run a check of my notes at the moment because my EX3 is currently on tine lapse duties. nF over and under crank starting from pre-record: - • Set camera to 720p50 • Turn off prebuffer (system > prebuffer). • Change long GOP to I-frame (video > codec). • Turn 720p 60/50 etc off (video > 720 p etc) • Crank: - turn on (Black tick in white rectangle) Set record rate to 25 for max overcrank press ok (choices 24, 25, 30, 50, 60. Set crank rate (1 max speed up or 60 max slow down) press ok |

Re: NanoFlash Slow Motion Settings For Sony EX3
Thanks for that Alistair and I got it to work. Been sorting out how to combine slo-mo 750p footage with normal 1080p but I think I've got it fixed.
