C300 "SDI Rec Command" to trigger nanoFlash?

It's now been a couple of firmware upgrades since I began using my C300 with my nanoFlash. I have a current production where I'd like to use free-run TOD timecode for double system audio but, in my experience, I've found triggering multiple recorders individually is just too risky in verite situations. I'm wondering if anyone's gotten Canon's "SDI Rec Command" function to work as an alternate to SDI time code triggering for the nanoFlash.

best,

In real world how much does the C300 internal recording differs with NanoFlash recording at highest recording rate. Any views?
