I'd like a Nanoflash Plus or Gemini Light.

The Gemini would be a perfect thing for me, but is out of my budget range. And I don't need raw. What I would really like to see is a new nanoflash with 1080p50/60 capacity and a good codec that handles the 50/60p well. This would make it a perfect match with for example the FS700, able to fully benefit from the super slomo options.

Dear Cees,

Your request has been duely noted.

(This is not a pre-announcement, just that we are seriously listening to your request.)

Most likely the codec would be DNxHD. The Gemini has a DNxHD option coming, so I would believe the next step would be a CF or XQD based DNxHD recorder.

And if there was a (paid for) upgrade for our existing units that would be even better.

DNX is great, but a QT option would be very cool. I would like a Nanoflash style device that accepts SSD's. For me it does not need a CF option( have a nano for that). Question, does Premier read Avid files?

Re: I'd like a Nanoflash Plus or Gemini Light.

Dear Jim,

Thank you for the name!

We are currently devloping Avid DNxHD for our Gemini product line.

Our Avid DNxHD will be in a Quicktime wrapper, thus making it easily used across a wide range of editing software.

Thus, once this is done, we could consider this for inclusion in a nanoFlash Extreme (using your name).
