Dear Robin,

Are you changing the "Volume Label" of the card on your computer?

When you put the card back into your computer is the "Volume Label", "Card 2", still visible?

If you change the "Volume Label" in your computer, then remove the card, and reinsert it, is the "Volume Label" remain unchanged?

Re: Card loses name?

Dear Friends,

If one reformats a CompactFlash card, in the nanoFlash, we preserve the Volume Label from one format to another.

This may not occur if the card is formatted in another device, such as a computer.

The correct procedure, in order to ensure reliable operation of the nanoFlash, is to always format the CompactFlash card in the nanoFlash prior to recording.

Deleting files from the CompactFlash card using another device, then recording in the nanoFlash will cause problems.

Formatting a CompactFlash card in another device, and then not formatting the card in the nanoFlash will also cause problems.

Hi Dan

Seems to be ok now.. might have been something that Klix had done to it..? in the checking mode..?

Quick question.. if Iam recording onto say Card 1.. I stop recording for the day.. take out the card.. then next day put in Card 1 again.. (without having down loaded it) it will be ok to just go on recording as normal would it not..?

Thanks again

Robin

Re: Card loses name?

Hello Robin,

If you have KLIX preform a Test, The Compact Flash card will need to be formated after, since it will erase the formating during the testing process.

Hope that Helps

Best Regards
