Nano with Kanexpro converter
I'm looking to use this Kanex Pro box + Nanoflash to convert a Sony Z1 to a better camera, which apparently puts out uncompressed video (not sure if its 4:4:4 or 4:2:0) . I have an EX1, then hopefully, a Z1 at 35-50 Mbps. Does anyone have any experience with this converter box? Will the Nano subsample to 4:2:2?

Re: Nano with Kanexpro converter
I guess that samples 4.2.2., which is the standard for pro digital video.
The device claims to make the ADC at 10b but the output is 8b. No experience on this device, but if its makes a clean ADC, is a good and inexpensive solution for the Z1/NANO. rafael |

Dear Gints,
This may work for you. Are you going to use it on a tripod with AC available, or hand held. Please let us know the results of your tests.

Re: Nano with Kanexpro converter
Hello Dan,
I plan to use this as a secondary ceiling camera primarily with an A/C cord or laptop battery setup for a portable rig but on a tripod. |
