Ruggedized Nano cover?
Does anyone out there make a ruggedized/rubberized Nanoflash cover? Like a rubber iPad or iPhone cover. I think this would be great for those of us working in the field.
Anyone? |

Re: Ruggedized Nano cover?
Dear Jeff,
I do not know of rubberized or silcone cover for the nanoFlash. There is a CompactFlash card protector on nanoFlash.net - Free Express Shipping & Pelican Hard Case*with purchase of nanoFlashOrder online or email rick@nanoflash.net**. The nanoFlash is designed to withstand very high ambient heat and it can work at 100 degrees C. But, the case, mainly the back of the unit, is designed to radiate heat. You should be ok in Hawaii, even during the hottest months, even if the unit is in a protective case. But in the hottest places of the world (certainly not Hawaii), then a heat-trapping case would not be advisable. I have not yet found a source for custom silcone "skins".

Re: Ruggedized Nano cover?
Hi Dan,
My concern is the sudden downpour, the unexpected rain squall, the reggae-music-artist-doing-a-big-bomb-dive-into-the-pool kind of a cover. Something that sheds water, I sure donʻt want it to overheat. Let me know what you find. Thanks, Jeff |

An improvement on my freezer bag would be great.

Re: Ruggedized Nano cover?
Dear Friends,
We are actively working on this. I do not know the pricing yet. At NAB 2011, we showed a very nice cover for the Gemini 4:4:4. We are now making a prototype for the nanoFlash.

Brazilian rain forest for me come September all being well so " yes please".
Nice if a UK outfit could hold nano accessories stock, as well, maybe an E.U. stockist, Ron |
