Nanoflash used for FOX Soccer Channel
Hey guys, I shot a human interest story for Fox soccer channel using a Sony V1 + Nanoflash. They said the footage looked great. It is a story about a one legged soccer coach it will premier on Fox Soccer Channel on 4/8/11 at 6pm ET.

Dear Ron,
Great, thank you for letting us know. It sounds like a nice story. I know that the nanoFlash is in use at Fox Sports, but I do not know how widely it is used.

Re: Nanoflash used for FOX Soccer Channel
The XDR and Nano are both used by Fox Sports and their vendors. It is not uncommon to see one here or there, FS Detroit had one in their truck at spring training last week, SportVision uses a XDR to record the show for their own use at NASCAR. I sold Fox Sports (national) an XDR years ago which is still dragged around which I saw at NASCAR recently. We used a NanoFlash to record Super Bowl promo shots for Fox this year output from a HD high speed camera showing the players and the trophy.
There has never been a concern in terms of quality of the video recorded. 8 bit has never come up. Jeff |
