AF100 Question
Dan,
Any news on a fix for the Nanoflash being able to detect and remove the pulldown from the AF100 so we don't have to shoot PsF? |

Re: AF100 Question
Dear Brian,
With the Panasonic AF100 if you wish to record 1080p24, you may use the following settings: Set the record format on the AF100 to 1080p24, and set the SDI Out to 23 PSF Out. The nanoflash cannot record 720p24 from the AF100, at this time, due to the 3:2 Cadence involved is different than any previous Panasonic camera, which we plan to fix in the next firmware release. But the nanoFlash can record 720p60 from the AF100 just fine, and the 3:2 removal can be done in post, or you can record as 1080p24 and down convert to 720p24, In our next firmware release, we may use information provided to us by Panasonic to detect the 3:2 Pulldown frames we are to remove, or we may be able to detect the 3:2 pulldown sequence as we do for all other cameras.

Re: AF100 Question
That is the issue. I want to be able to record non PSF out the SDI and have the 3:2 pulldown removed in the NanoFlash. I have a shoot tomorrow where this is going to be a huge issue because the client monitor is HDMI and I can't run HDMI when the camera is in PSF mode. This is the only thing holding me back from buying. I still rent it for certain jobs tho. I await your next firmware release. When will it be available?
