EX1 Settings - Timecode
Can someone tell me if the EX1 SDI output signal had embedded timecode or should I use the Nanoflash's "Internal" timecode setting ?
Also, as long as I'm not interested in recording Interlaced, can I leave the PSP to PROG on when switching between recording in 720p60 and 1080p30 ? Thanks. |

Dear Eric,
The Sony EX1/EX3/PMW-320/PDW-350 and other cameras output timecode embedded in the HD-SDI output stream. As such, the System|Timecode setting should be set to Embedded for most applications. Yes, you can leave the Video|Record PSF>Prog(ressive) setting checked under the conditions you outlined. Just check the bottom line of the screen and ensure that it matches your camera settings.
