XDR Firmware Update Soon ?
Hi Dan & Mike & Tommy:
Can we expect an update to fix Canon 24 F Jam Sync, .MPG file Playback error, enable 8 channel (+ 2 Analogue) audio, and RS-422. Also, can't import some MXF Timelapse files into Avid Media Composer 4.0.5, while other Timelapse files will import just fine. (??) Can you check file header structure, please ? Avid sees something it doesn't like and reports playback speed errors, then refuses to import file. (I don't know why ? Sorry). * Tech question: Can time-lapse files be recorded as .MOV Quicktime Movies ? Respectfully, Mark |

This won't answer your questions Mark but in case you didn't see the post from Dan Keaton, there is a beta firmware update that is supposed to hit today. It probably has some of the things you have asked about, like multi-channel embedded audio.

Hi Mark-
Check the update list in a separate post. I think many of the issues have been resolved. Yes, you can do time-lapse with QT files. Best-
