Play Progressive->PSF - checked on interlace footage?

Question
I think I might have left the Play Progressive->PSF checked upon playing back 1080i interlace footage. Does this affect the footage in anyway?

Thanks!

PSF playback option doesn't affect what's recorded on the card.
