Recommended Firmware November 11, 2009
Dear Friends,
I was asked to post this by one of our friends. He wanted everyone to know that his experience with our firmware version 1.0.112, our current version, shows that the nanoFlash is very reliable. His recommendation was for anyone on a prior version to immediately upgrade to 1.0.112 as it is a very solid firmware version, with very few problems. And that his nanoFlashes are put through extensive and varied use with multiple cameras and different situations. Now, I am posting this just before we are about to release our next firmware version. It is undergoing very serious and thorough testing at this time. We will be recommending our next version shortly. I can report that our next version will have some reliability improvements over 1.0.112. It should be obvious that we are striving for 100% reliability. As always, we think that it is important for everyone to test the nanoFlash with their camera and process the test files through their post workflow to prevent any unexpected problems. One problem that occassionally pops up is the nanoFlash recording the camera's menu since they were not turned off. This is easily detected if one checks our files, or uses a monitor on-set.
