MXF/QT viewing software for Mac
I've got a documentary job this weekend and the director would like to use the Nanoflash files for logging purposes. The Sony MXF viewer would would great except he has a Mac laptop and that viewing software is PC only. He doesn't have Final Cut on his laptop so what would be the best solution for him to view the files and log the timecode?
I know that Quicktime is an Apple product so if I save the files at QT's can he view them or is an additional codec required? Would he also be able to see the embedded timecode? I did see SONY XDCAM EX and VLC media player - Open Source Multimedia Framework and Player would either of those solutions work for him? Thanks in advance,
